This rare civil War era tintype and ambrotype is identified as Joel Lipes , E Company Indiana and family

The Tintype under glass is in relatively nice condition -note the slight coloration of the cheeks. It is framed with the union army copper Oval

The ambrotype of the family is in nice condition.- note the colorization of the cheeks and the belt buckles

Both photos have obvious wear from age. Please look at the photos closely before offerding

Each photo is approx. 2.75\"-3.25\"

The case is in nice condition however there is a chip out of one corner as pictured

Note that the thin cardboard/velvet insert is missing on the left-hand side I will put additional cardboard in place for transportation

This purchase comes with family record identifying the family members

It is in very fragile condition and I will therefore provide a plastic sleeve for transportation
