Joseon Dynasty, 16th century

approx. 18.7-19.3cm in diameter, 10cm in height (7.36-7.59in, 3.93in)

Large and deep mold with slightly everted lip, coated in white slip covered with transparent glaze, called type of 'Kohiki' (lit. 'Powder-spraying', or "White makeup" as translated) in the term of Tea ('Cha-no-yu') in Japan.
Also, besides defined and called so, handed down for the laudable factors of its impressive well-grown 'Amamori' (discoloration as scenic stain of glaze crack penetrated) and aesthetic gash of 'Kintsugi' (gold lacquered restoration) as the highlights, attaching with signed woodbox with 'kaou' (handwritten monogram), - as "Korean kohiki, Confectionery Bowl", "Rinsho Shoban (?)" (connoisseur).
Fine antique condition as is and as seen.
