Up for sale is a beautiful pair of vintage sterling silver candle stick holders hand-made circa 1960 by the silversmith Codan of Mexico City renown for their Danish Modernist style and design.These two fantastic mid-century modern Mexican Sterling Silver double candlestick holders feature a sensually curved minimalist silhouette, very sleek and fluid. Each holds two tall thin slender candles and they are absolutely stunning when lighted and on display, after a design by Anton Michelsen of Denmark. The bottoms are hallmarked CODAN STERLING 925 MEXICO along with the bell or eagle stamp 7. The dimensions are approximately 5 1/4\" tall by 7 5/8\" long by 4\" wide and the cup for the candle is 3/8\" in diameter, their total combined weight is over 500 grams. This gorgeous set of two Modernist sterling silver candelabra is in very good vintage condition with only light surface marks or wear from use and age, there are some light surface scratches on the tops from wax removal (please see all photos and ask any questions before offerding).A great addition for the collector of mid-20th century modern Codan sterling silver style and design, hand-crafted in Mexico.• •___________________________
