Description

A fabulous cold painted Austrian bronze desk inkwell depicting a monkey approaching a walnut on a Persian carpet, the nut is hinged at the back and opens to reveal a compartment for holding a liner and the monkey acts as a rest for the pen/quill. This beautifully detailed bronze is fully marked on the underside and is in very good condition measuring 16cm x 20cm and weighing 1.8Kg.
