Here\'s a crude hand thrown pottery bird feeder that we dug from an 1880-1890 trash pit. It has a crude separately applied \"handle\" with a hole through the middle for attaching to a bird cage.

Brown unglazed outside; dark brown Albany slip glazed inside.....round tapered shape....2\"tall.....Excellent condition with no chips or damage ,(except a couple small nicks on top rim). Very crudely formed bottom.
