Our main company Carsley Whetstone & Company Inc. has been helping collectors since 1928. Carsley was founded by Alexander Carsley in the 1920`s, and quickly became one of the bigger coin dealers in Montreal. In 1999 the company merged with Thompson & Whetstone, another numismatic and antique firm founded in the 1980`s...to form our current company.

A Special Note About Grading. We use industry standards to grade our items. We use the old fashioned G,VG,F, etc way of grading instead of numbers. We will always err to the CONSERVATIVE side.Our grades are always NET grades and take into account all the wear and defects. If there is a really significant defect that is out of the norm for the grade we will mention it. Our staff has been grading items for decades...so we are experienced, and want our clients to be happy. It can happen however, with thousands of items to evaluate, that we goof, and miss something. This is why we offer a no questions asked guarantee. If you are not fully satisfied with your order, contact us within 3 days, and returnthe full orderto us (never send back an order without contacting us first!). When we get it we will refund the total price of your order including shipping. You are only responsible for the cost of getting it back to us.
