Captain John S Taylor British Vice Consul Court Dress & Undress Tailcoat. Item DescriptionCaptain John S Taylor British Vice Consul court dress & undress tailcoat.A very rare dark blue tail coat with silver bullion leaf decoration the collar and cuffs, each edged with gold bullion embroidery. The decoration is repeated to the false pockets and also to the crown of the tails. Complete with a full compliment of King's Crown gilt buttons. The interior with quilted lining and ink label. The collar does fasten with hook and eyelet fastenings, however the mannequin it's displayed on is too large to allow.This lot includes the undress tailcoat of dark material with velvet collar and similar gilt buttons. Again named to Captain Taylor.Both of these garments are small but in very fine condition. Any apparent marks in the photographs is most likely dust or fibres from storage which will brush off.THIS IS FOR 2 JACKETSApprox size of court dress tailcoat is:Chest - 90cm
