Carl Aubock designed stainless steel flatware set by Amboss Austria. The pattern is the highly collectible "Maestro" introduced around 1955/1956. Discontinued. Super sleek mid-century modern design which won the gold medal at the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1958 as well as other prizes for outstanding design. Stainless Steel. Marked as shown in photos. Substantial weight.

This is a 5 piece service for 8 as follows:

-Eight 8 1/4" Serrated Knives
-Eight 7 3/4" Soup/Tablespoons
-Eight 5 7/8" Teaspoons
-Eight 7 3/4" Dinner Forks
-Eight 5 7/8" Salad/Dessert Forks

CONDITION: Preowned used set. No box.If you are looking for a set in unused mint condition, this set isNOT for you. The set is bright and shiny, but the pieces do have light scratches from use, typical ofused stainless steel flatware. A fewof the dinner knives has a touch of wear on the underside curve at top of handle (see photo of worst). On the knives, two look fine,but most havesometiny marks/pits. On a few it is morenoticeable - - one has a deeper scratch and someothers havemore pit marks. One knife has significant pitting at the bottom of the handle. I have shown the worst areas in the photos. My personal assessment of the knives is that if Iowned this set, there are two, maybe three, of the knives that I might look to replace at some point. They are perfectly usable - no bends or anything like that - but just not quite as good as the rest of the set.
