I am not a business seller but as acollectorfrom an artistic background, I have plenty of experiencewith handling works of art and packing fragile items to a high standard.
Rest assured, I pack with generous amounts of padding materials and always choose the cheapestshipping option withoutcompromising on the security of the delivery to ensure the item arrives safely.
This is why I avoid super economy shipping services (that take more than five working days) toreduce the risk of fragile items getting damaged or lost in the post.
UK deliveries normally arrive 2-3 working days after dispatch or 2-5 working days for most ifthe super economy shipping service is theonly affordable option available, buyerswillbe informed before they pay.
If you would prefer 1st class / express delivery, there will be an extra charge so please request thisbefore you pay or immediately afterwards.
tracking info is sometimes not completely accurate or up to date so please check the trackingstatus on the courier company's website using the tracking number provided.
If you would like to receive delivery notifications about when your delivery is expected or potentialmissed delivery attempts, please provide your email address after placing your order.
Buyers pay full cost of delivery, including any import taxes /customs charges that may occur whenreceiving their purchase (this is more likely if sent to a non EU country but so far none of my non-EUcustomers have had to pay any extra charges).
All items have been stored in a non-smoking household and will be cleaned before packing.EU AND NON EU BUYERS ACCEPTED!If theshippingcharge for your country is not shown, please contact me for a shipping quotebefore you buy.
I accept PayPal, Visa / credit card or bank transfer payments.
PLEASE NOTE: I can offer a discount on shipping costs for buyers who choose to pay by banktransfer!
As I will not have to pay anyPaypal fees for bank transfer payments, I can deduct this omitted charge from your purchase.
This will not affect your consumer rights and my 14 day no-fuss return policy will remain exactly the same (see below).
POLICY REGARDING INTEGRITY AND ACCURACY OF DESCRIPTIONS
The photographs of the item are part of the description.
All photos are taken on my camera-phone in natural daylightwithout flash to avoid any distortion of appearance or colourvibrancy.
As a collector who buys everything online, I know how disappointing it can be when your purchase arrives not as expectedbecause the photos were misleading or out of focus or the description of the condition was too vague. As a result, I try mybest to make sure my photos are an accurate representation of the item andinclude as much relevant information aspossible, bringing any imperfections or damage to the buyersattention, even if theyare barely noticeable.
I carefully inspect all items for sale and strive to make my photos as accurate as possible both in terms of colour, tone andcondition. However, the true colour of glazes or general appearance of items may vary slightly to photographs - which cannever be 100% accurate (particularly when viewed on computer and phone screens which are all calibrated differently).
"Excellent condition" generally means no chips or cracks and no obvious or noticeable signs of wear when the item is ondisplay.
"Very good condition" means no chips or cracks but has some minor signs of wear that can be noticed more than just merelyclose-upbut not from a significant distance and without disturbing the general appearance of the object.
"Good condition" means no cracks but there may be some small chips or prominent signs of wear such as dark scuff marksorstains that are noticeable when viewing the item at quite a distance (a few steps away from the displayed item).
I always try to buy items of the best quality and condition but if the item has any signs of wear (such as scuff marks orscratches) I always try to describe it and photograph it to avoid disappointment when the item arrives - rather than simplyuse the vague term "excellent or very good vintage condition" or "item may have signs of wear" (like some sellers do).
However, please bear in mind that I have a tendency to be pedantic and over-scrupulous so please do not be put off by mydetaileddescriptions and close-up photos of imperfections or signs of wear!
When I show close-up photos of scuff marks or other imperfections (such as glaze crazing or manufacturing flaws), they tendto look worse /more prominent than to the eye / in person, sometimes even revealing things that the eye can not see, soplease bear this in mind.
When I describe the condition of vintage items as "good," "very good" or "excellent" or not having noticeable signs of wearI amnot referring tothe base or back (e.g. wall plaques) of items. I am referring to the areas of the item that are visible whenon display. All vintage items are "used" items so may show signs of wear on the base of the object or back of wall plaques.
Hand made vintage ceramics can often have marks to the base or back ofwall plaques, either fromwear or from as scuff marks or indentations / small chips) which I do not considerimperfections or damage, unless it is visiblewhen the item is on display or if it affects the stability or function of the item.If you're interested in buying more than one item, combined shipping is possible.
Depending on the weight and value of the items, you will either only be charged for whichever itemhas the higher shipping charge, or for the equivalent fixed delivery charge for the combinedpackaged weight and value.
