~ Old Witch Woodspirit ~

I've been carving collectibles of various sorts since I was quite young, and have been carving them as a main source of income for well over a decade now. While I originally started my carving "career" with wood spirits that I carved from driftwood, I eventually carved and sold several hundred collectible buttons, a truckload of bakelite jewelry, several one of a kind sewing thimbles, and a great many other items. I've been blessed to have been able to send my carvings all over the world now and have a great many wonderful repeat customers who have become cherished friends over the years. I hope that my new carvings will bring their owners-to-be much enjoyment and pleasure through the years.

My newest wood spirit is an old wrinkled woman, or witch, and she even has a little pet rat sitting on her hat. I carved this old hag from a nice little piece of knarly old driftwood and her wrinkled and wizened old face holds ton of character, even down to her double chin and one tooth smile. I applied a bit of oil stain to the carving and buffed most of that off, then added some oil paint details. The little rat is carved from a seperate piece of wood and fits into a small hole that is natural the piece of wood that I carved the witch from. The rat too is detailed with oil paints and stain, and can be positioned differently when the witch is hung on the wall (or removed entirely if you don't care for rodents....). The witch's light blue eyes are painted with oil paints. She hangs on the wall by means of a hole drilled into the back. The carving measures about 7 inches at the longest measurement. My signature and the date are painted on the back side.

Shipping Policy

I carefully package all of my items in new jewelry boxes and new shipping boxes which I provide for free. I gladly ship with my customers' choice of shipping options and only charge actual shipping charges, no package or handling fees. Please note that insurance is HIGHLY advised but is optional. I can not be responsible for what happens to packages once I deliver them to the post office. I do my utmost best to ship items the day following reciept of payment, but there are times when I may need up to 4 days to get to the post office, anything beyond that and I will contact you.
