Vintage cast iron plaque. Relates to American Beach, FL. Specifies "Negro Ocean Playground". American Beach was developed as the first African-American resort community in 1933 on Amelia Island, FL. American Beach is still a community on Amelia Island today. This plaque was purchased from an estate inSt. Marys, GA, which is across the St. Marys River from Amelia Island, FL.
