Tonight I am listing some antique original cast iron Mechanical Banks. This is the\"LION AND TWO MONKEYS\"Mechanical Bank designed by Louis Kyser and Alfred Rex and manufactured by the Kyser & Rex Co., Philadelphia, Pa. It was patented on July 17, 1883. This is a rather large and impressive bank with classic detail and an interesting subject. There are no cracks or breaks . The bank is innear greatcondition for its age and displays handsomely. some repair is needed, also missing one of the monkeys near the top and one eye is missing from the lion, but themechanicsinside still work great.

To operate, a coin is placed in the right hand of the front monkey. On depressing the operating lever, the hand and arm of the monkey lowers, dropping the coin toward the lion whose mouth opens to receive it. As this action takes place, the baby monkey moves upward and forward on the other monkey\'s back and looks fearlessly down at the lion. It has very clever action, and on releasing the lever all parts automatically return to their original position.

The is in proper working order and has the rectangular coin trap. The bank is approximately 9\" long, 3 1/2\" wide and 9 1/2\" high. This is a great opportunity to make this colorful bank a part of your collection.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL buyers
