Very elegant Cathy Hansen 8\" Bisque French Fashion Doll with full Victorian outfit and display stand. This doll owes its heritage to the famous French Bru Poupée de Mode dolls created in the late 19th century.Designed by renowned doll artist Cathy Hansen this French fashion doll is an all bisque 8\" tall doll beautifully adorned with a complete Victorian outfit. Her wonderful face is finely detailed, with the white bisque accented by soft pink lips and piercing dark eyes. Her soft blond hair is pulled back in a bun, revealing her tiny drop gold earrings with faux diamond inserts. On her porcelain feet she wears the short delicate walking boots common in the Victorian age. Her outfit is an outstanding representation of dress worn by ladies in Victorian times. Underneath is a delicate bustier and bloomers, topped off by petticoats. The real eye catcher is her elegant off white and beige striped taffeta high neck jacket and dress complete with short train. Both jacket and dress are ruffled with heavy braiding, and are adorned on the back with bows. The jacket is cinched in the middle. As a finishing touch there is the light bonnet with ribbon ties. And she comes with her own display stand.This French fashion doll is from a private collector who stored her in a darkened room. She has not seen the light of day very often.
