Ceramic Porcelain Stove Heater Top Flue Vent. Victorian. Nice Gift. Rare Unusual For SaleThis white glazed ceramic porcelain vent or flue is probably off an old gas stove or room heater from the Victorian era, likely the late 1800s or early 1900s. It measures 11 inches long, 4 ½ inches high, and 2 ¼ inches in depth. The porcelain is crazed and has only a couple of minor cracks. I can see 2 very small chips about 1/8 inch in diameter along the base. I see no manufacturers mark, and do not really know for sure what it was originally made for. There is a 4 inch by 10 inch black metal plate on the back that can be easily unbolted if desired.
You could use it as a unique holder for dried flowers, or add a couple of glass test tubes (not included) and use it to hold a couple of freshly cut flowers. I am including a couple of plastic tube things that also could work for holding cut flowers.
This would make a unique gift for that special person who likes unusual antiques, flowers, and recycled items.
