Up for offer is a lovely Charleston South Carolina African American hand made Gullah Sweetgrass oval basket purse / container with an attached lid with knots. We got this at an Estate Sale and please see our other sales for another Sweetgrass basket. Please excuse any glares, white spots and shadows. The basket purse is in excellent overall pre-owned condition. It has one minor broken weave on the handle, but there are No other breaks, cracks, or repair. The basket measures approx. 14" tall at handle, 9" tall by lid by 8 1/2" long across the base and 6 3/4" wide. Folks, this is a nice Gullah Sweetgrass basket purse / container and it would go wonderful in a collection or home.
