Offered is a Gullah basket from Charleston, South Carolina. The baskets are hand-woven of sweet grass and sold by local artisans in the market place. The legacy and tradition of this craft, as well as the functionality and beauty of the baskets, commands a hefty price. These baskets have been made for generations and are the official craft of South Carolina.

This basket was purchased in the 1990's. It was both displayed and used in the kitchen. It is very clean, but there is some breakage in the woven grass as depicted in the pictures.

This basket measures approximately 8 3/4" in diameter (About 10 1/4" with the handle) and 4" high.
