I have for sale a Charming and rare Vintage Hand Embroidered Tablecloth with beautiful plantings of Hyacinth flowers growing alongside steps and cobble stones to each corner. At the top of the steps are two regal pine trees, under-planted with yellow flowers. Skilfully hand embroidered using a number of stitches including French knots, on a off-white fine linen with a ladder worked turned edge

In Very Good Vintage condition - embroidery is just beautiful, but there is one teeny tiny darn, and one tip of a corner has been turned over to cover a little bit of damage - only mentioned for complete accuracy :)

Embroidery work is such a lost art ~ it is not as common as it was in our GrandMothers Days, and to the standard they were taught as part of \'getting ready to run their own homes\' ~ I think about the person who has spent so many hours making such beautiful linens. It truly is a lost art, and the gorgeous \'treasures\' are getting very hard to find!! ~ and so I gather them to offer to you :)
