Chelsea 8 Day Coast Guard Ships Deck ClockThis clock has been in my family for a long time. My step father was a captain of one of 2 Coast Guard sub chasers off Greenland in 1945. I believe that he may have procured this clock at that time. In looking into Chelsea records this clock was made for the Boston Clock Company by Chelsea between 1905 and 1909 being serial # 20999. Inscribed under the bezel at the bottom of the dial is \"Made by Chelsea Clock Co. Boston USA\". The case is solid brass and matches the movement with the same serial #. It is very heavy, weighing 6 lbs. The clock is in very good condition and runs. The phosphorescent dots still give off some light for a short time.
