This is a Late 19th Century Qing Dynasty-Early Republican Period Bronze Temple Urn. It has been in my family for over 50 years. It is 20 inches high X 14 inches wide. It is approximately 55 pounds. It is my understanding the bronze rings were used to leave prayers tied with small pieces of parchment and ribbons, as this Urn resided in a temple. A Massive Extraordinary Work of Art!!!!!!!! A Highly Collectible Bronze Given the Period of Manufacture. We have never seen a duplicate version of this style.
