This is a rare c1850 Chinese export silver dragon mug.

Selling 40 year personal collection of Chinese export silver.

From Hoaching.

Worked on Club Street, Canton from 1850 to 1870.

Tapering form double wall construction. Hand carved song birds in grape and leaf.
Each of the birds unique and each hand detailed as real.The grapes each formed individually as silver spheres, some raised higher than
the others to show them more ripened.
Stippled background.Twisted rope oval shield never monogrammed.

Full body dragon handle.

Outer surface, interior and dragon retain their original gold wash.

This c1850 Chinese export silver dragon mug is 4 1/4 inches 7 1/2 (standard) ounces.

Signed Hoaching. Gothic H.

In excellent condition. Lustreous silver patina throughout.

The song birds in grape and leaf and dragon handle retain near original hand chased detail.

Original gold interior.
