Todays sale is for an extremely wonderful collection of two late 1800s, early 1900s Mother of Pearl Carved Ornate photo albums, chalk full of Chinese & Phillipines hand tinted photos and postcards, in sepia, black/white and color.Alot of really crazy stuff in this lot.People hanging, torture, prisoners, geisha girls, cities, places, opium parties, etc. Please read list below of some of the names on some of the postcards. Top album has 72 items, bottom has 65.Some are dated others are not; overall all are in great condition given there age. They albums are made of wood and have a nice black lacquer look and fronts are adorned with ornate hand carved birds and the other has a beautiful chinese mountainside carving with a boat and chinese huts along the water. These are both beautiful and well made. The bindings on both albums have come loose and back covers show a little wear, however I think those are the only few minor flaws in this awesome collection.All original as found.Just an amazing overall, eye appealing collection of photos and postcards.Please check out all of the pictures and all of the other vintage related items we currently have listed.
