Chinese Porcelain Plaque Qianjiang Painting by Zou Ling - Wang Yeting 鄒嶺寫於 珠山客軒
A fine Chinese porcelain tile, painted and signed by Zou Ling, who was the apprentice of Wang Yeting (Yatei). Wang Yeting, 汪野亭, was one of the Eight Friends of Zhushan, an important group of artists during the Republic period of China. The calligraphy on the plaque/tile is translated below;
溪山煙雨 – Misty Peaks and Stream 辛未年之 – 1931 year仲夏月 – Mid Summer ... 仿石如法 – in the style of Shi Ru鄒嶺寫於 – Zou Ling painted in珠山客軒 – Zhushan Guest Lodge
The plaque is approximately 38.5 cm (15 ¼”) wide and 25.5 cm (10”) high. The condition is very good with no chips, cracks or restoration – There is a tiny nick on one of the back side corners (see photos).
