Chinese Yuan Dynasty Lotus-Flower-Form Jade Pendant

ALarge7.1 cm (2.8 inches) in Diameterand Weighs a Very Heavy 99 grams.

This is arare opportunity toadd a true museum piece of historic 14th Century Chinese Jade from the Yuan Dynasty to your collection. The carving is so intricately detailed and the polish has thatmarvelous satin sheen, that it would have takenthe jadecarver weeks to make it by hand using the primitive tools of the 14th Century. Only on close examination can you see that curves were made by making several short angled cuts and then polishing the area to make it smooth. Truly a fine work of art.

The bottom side is flat, but top side slopes to one side. This can best be seen by examining the side view, it shows the different thicknesses. It varies from7 millimeters (0.275 inches) to10 millimeters (0.39 inches) in thickness.

This Jade Pendant is circa 2.8 inches (7.1 cm) in Diameter. It is veryheavy and weighs 99 grams.

Condition of this item:

EXCELLENT! NO CHIPS! NO CRACKS! NO RESTORATION! It shows only minimal signs of wear commensurate to its age.

*** The only thing I mention for full disclosure isthat someone has carved a groove for attaching a silk cord. See Photos # 16 & 17.
