This cabinet,made in southern China about 19th centuryFujian province
Itwas used to house ancestor tablets to honors their Ancestor.It comprises a black lacquer cabinet with two hinged doors with brass fittings.
The doors are inset with four carved panels each that have been decorated with red lacquer and gilding. The carved panels include pair of Lotus and pair of double dragon carving.
Lotus is resemble budhism and Dragon resemble ImmortalityThe back of the interior is decorated with red and gold backdrop.
This example is in fine condition - there are no obvious losses to the carving.
Dimension : height: 44.5 cm, width: 30 cm, depth: 17.5 cm
