CIVIL WAR 1864 Soldier\'s Letter, 51 Reg. Pennsylvania Volunteers, Simon Krebs
This two-sided letter from soldier to his friend contains a poignant passage - -- \"I don\'t now [sic] weather [sic] I will ever sea [sic] again I hope it is God\'s will that I shall sea [sic] you again. If not, I hope to sea [sic] in a better world.\" It is found near the end of the second page.. Rare item. Soldier was with the 51 Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers according to a notation that comes with this letter as the previous owner did some research. The soldier was on his way to Fort Sampson on Nov. 26, 1864 Great item -- quite interesting. Thank you.
