Civil War Era CDV+ Tintype Photo Album Abe Lincoln Antique+Rare Syracuse NY Area

Fantastic Civil War era family photo Contains 50 Cartes de Visite and tintype an 1865 CDV of Abraham album belonged to a woman named Kate Fisher. She wrote names on some of the album pages identifying the people pictured. Most were members of the Fisher and Pratt families. The majority were taken in studios near Syracuse, NY.


Circa ~ 1860s - 1870s.

Full leather with blind and tooled design. Marked \"Photographs\" in gold gilt on spine. Decorative brass, strap-type closers. Gilt decoration to inside edges. All album page edges gilt. Patterned end papers in white and gold. Title page: Photograph ALBUM - BOSTON - Bradley, Dayton & Co.

Size: 51/4 x 6\".



Condition: Some rubbing and scuffing to leather at extremities. Covers are intact and both closers still work. The covers are separated from the album pages at the spine. There are several breaks in the binding, dividing the album pages into four different sections. A few tears to paper around photos.
Some of the tintypes are scratched or flaking on the surface. Most of the CDVs are in good shape with just a few spots or areas of light foxing.

CDVs of Civil War generals Sherman and Slocum, were found in this album, along with the portrait of Lincoln. They are being sold separately. There were a couple of loose CDVs with the album so I filled the pages with them.
