Civil War Era Memorial Cdv Depicting Fallen Comrades. For Sale
davidw13 Store This is a very unusual Civil War era memorial CDV presumably commemorating fallen comrades.Shown in the photo are numerous pairs of Boots, Guns, Rifles, Bags, Hats, and Buckles or Plaques. It is not immediately clear to me whether this was Civil War, Indian War related or perhaps a artifact of the Old West. Maybe an educated viewer can help with this unusualintrepidCDV's message. One clue is the initials R.P.I. which appear on several buckles in the picture. It is a haunting, sorrowful, mysterious image that will reward the serious collector of Civil, Indian War, or Old West albumen photography On the backside of the CDV is the studio address and two cent tax stamp.
