Civil War era Mini Photograph Album 96 pix inscribed South Danvers & Salem, Ma
Album is approx. 4 x 3". It contains 96 pictures. The clothing appears to be that of the 1860's or so. I can't tell if they are tin types, or some kind of heavy paper image. It is inscribed on the inside front cover: G W (I think 2nd letter is W) Rogers, Salem, Mass; J Francis Lord, So Danvers No. 72 Lowell St. <P><c>I live about 10 miles away from Salem and Danvers. South Danvers is now Peabody, Massachusetts. I have taken pictures of all 12 pages. <P><c>I tried to find information on both the names inscribed, but could not find anything specifically pertaining to either of them. Altho perhaps Rogers is related to John Rogers, the famous sculpturer of Salem, Massachusetts, known for his Rogers Groups.
