Civil War Medal Ohio Volunteer Inf Wm. R Dicken 62nd Regt.co.c Ovi Tiffany & Co For Sale
Up for sale is a Ohio Volunteer Medal given to William R. Dicken for his service in the Civil War in the Ohio Volunteer Infantry, 62nd Regiment Company C. It is in very good condition, much better than any other example I have seen. The piece was made in circa 1866, I believe, and was of only 20,000 or so produced. It is rare to find today, and exceptionally rare to find in such fine detail.The piece is approximately 36mm in diameter. William Dicken was from Hebron, Ohio in Licking County. Per his obituary in the Newark Advocate Feb 24 1903: "...He enlisted in the Civil War at its beginning and served to its close."Don't miss out on this fantastic find - see pictures.
