With an overall length of 39.5 inches, it is an Oakeshott Type X, featuring a Type VII crossguard and a Type I pommel.Fast, shearing cuts are easy to achieve with this 33-inch blade because the long and wide fuller makes it significantly lighter, as it weighs only 3 pounds. Therefore, soldiers would have been able to easily and quickly cut through mail and padding, while the length provided outstanding protection. For an additional fee, the blade can be sharpened.
