Complete Set Of 9 Vintage Lighted Santa’s Reindeer Lawn Ornaments Blow Mold For Sale
I have a set of 9 vintage
reindeer outdoor lawn / yard ornaments that I don’t know much about. They look like they could
be from the 1950’s – maybe earlier? There
is Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and of course
Rudolph with his red nose. I could not
find a company or any information printed or stamped on these. They are a hard plastic – could be what is
called Blow Mold – but it has a heavier feel and look to them. Each one weighs about 5-6 pounds.
Each reindeer is hollow inside and their heads come off – these is where
the light string with bulb is placed.
Each head looks like it twisted and locked in to place or had small
screws that tightened to keep in place at one point…but most are either taped
together or just placed together now.
The previous owner did duct tape some together (there is residual tape
glue on some of the necks). He also did
not have the lights working for many years…but I do have most of the original
light cords inside each deer. There is a
hole underneath each deer where I think you would run the cords and/or lights. There is also another small hole underneath
where a metal stick/stand was inserted to prop these up in your yard. Some are still attached but most are
missing. Rudolph still has his red bulb
for a nose. 8 of the reindeer have all
the antlers still intact and never broken and Rudolph has a baby set of
Each reindeer has accumulated a layer of dirt over the years (and maybe
some white paint dots), there are spots that have paint wear or small scratches,
but I would consider these in very, very good condition for their age. They are all original and other than the neck
issues, nothing is broken or cracked through and it has all of its original
paint. These do need a good cleaning which I will leave to the winning buyer.
Each reindeer measures approximately 38” long x 15” high x 6” wide. I am including a flat fee for shipping (I
will pay any additional costs for shipping) which includes insurance and
tracking information. They will be
shipped in 3 to 6 boxes – I want to make sure the boxes aren’t packed too tight
and/or too heavy. However, due to the
size of the packaging I will have to use – UPS will charge me for dimensional
weight and USPS will charge me for oversize packaging…that is why the shipping
charges are high. I am estimating the
shipping total to be $300-$400. If I am incorrect with my calculations and there is an overpayment, I WILL refund any excess shipping charges paid.
These are just so adorable and will make a great addition to any home for
Please email me with any questions or if you need
any additional photos. I tried to
describe these as best as I could and hope the pictures show you the condition
GOOD LUCK and THANKS FOR LOOKING!
