Comments on this trombone: An unusual Conn, and one of the rarest. I will do my best to describe her. She is much like a cross between a Conn yellow brass 78H, and a 48H Constellation in sound and feel. Her sound and performance is much smaller playing than the bell diameter would lead you to believe due to the nickel plating. She has some of the broad characteristics of a larger horn, but can brighten up very easily, and really punctuate a big band trombone section on third. She strikes me as the kind of trombone that would be effective in broadway show music too. Vibrant and alive, you can get away with a more refined, less massive mouthpiece. Go too big, and she loses her vibrant characteristic. Go smaller, even to a 'c' cup, and she can cut the lead parts with the best of them. Some players look for a medium large bore feel, and can't quite adjust to a .508 bore trombone - a perfect horn for the large bore player who just can't adapt to the small bore feel - but still wants the presence and ping in the sound. In tune, focused, pure in sound, vibrant, brilliant, fun to play. Definitely a trombone that will thrive in a popular music context - from rock band, to big band, to show band. Quite a looker, if I say so myself. She has the best Conn slide that I have ever operated. Unbelievable how smooth she is!!Bell: great condition, never damaged, the plating is 100%, with minor lacquer loss on the rim of the bell that is pretty much invisible unless you look up close. Vibrant and alive.Slide: 100% nickel chrome plating on the inner tubes, moves smoothly and swiftly, lacquer/light plating wear at the hand held areas and cork barrel where the serial number is. 99% chrome plating through out. Impeccable slide! Like glass! Is this a Conn??? LOL!

* Mouthpiece: not included - although I would recommend a medium size to small c cup depending upon the venture.
