continental Silver Novelty Cockerel Salt/pepper Pot Hallmarked For Sale

Up for sale is abeautifully detailednovelty silver pepper or salt shaker in the form of a cockerel / hen.

There are marks in the neck as shown in photo - quite difficult to make out, with the aid of the zoom I can see that one of them is a swan mark which I believe is a French silver import mark - there are two of these marks, one on the body andthe otheron the head. The other mark is an 'R' with what looks to be an axe symbol. If anybody knows the origin of this item please let me know and I will add to the listing. Ithink that this would be 800 grade silver.

Weight 84 grams. Height Just under 3 inches, and approx 3 inches long.

Condition is very good. The only flaw is that one of the feet has bent upwards - he does stand, but is not stable. This could be easily fixed. See last photo....
