Cox Eliminator Ii Dragster With Box, Launch Pad, Chute And Owner's Manuals For Sale
Here's a very clean and complete Cox Eliminator II Dragster from the '60s - '70s. This car appears to be complete and is very clean. The box has a few issues such as some fuel staining and two torn corners that are taped on the inside (no visible tape). This dragster is complete with the plastic dummy engine which is often missing on these surviving cars. The engine turns over freely with a strong "pop" and the plastic body is in great shape with no cracks or chips. The needle valve also turns easily and the glow plug works but I have not tried to run this car since I don't want to clean it.
Curiously, the lower side decals and the decal behind the engine are missing. There is no decal residue and it appears that they where never there. I'm not an expert so I'm not sure about this. The plastic body colors are bright, shiny and clean. The chute deployment mechanism works very smoothly. Although the front air foil is present and has its decal in place, there are two spots of glue on the edges. I did not try to remove them. The new owner can try to peel them off with a sharp hobby knife if they dare.
The launch pad is very clean and works as designed. The accesory spiral nails are included as well as the line that has been used. Please refer to the photos as they are part of the item description. I will carefully double-box this item for shipping and only charge shipping fees charged to me by the post office - never any charge for packing materials. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.
