We had theopportunityto check out this pouch late last year. And it is hands down the best battery / counterweight pouch for modern helmets on the market today. Not only can you apply it perfectly to the back of your helmet with the two side straps, but also attach it with the hook velcro on the backside of the pouch.
The TYR Tactical Helmet Mounted 50/50 Air Ground Warrior
Battery Pouch(TYR-OCHC-BAT)is designed to attach to TYR’s FAST
Ballistic Helmet Cover. Its streamline tailored design utilizes
500d Cordura. Hook on the back of
the pouch and on the extended retention
tab ensures a secure fit. Two additional straps can be attached
to the accessory rail connectors for added stabilization.
TYR Tactical™ has developed a revolutionary new product line using a hybrid material called PV® “Pluma Vires”. By manufactured design, the entire line of pouches and vests weigh at least 20 percent less than comparable products available in today’s market.
In independent testing, products made with PV® material offer more than 7 to 10-times the abrasion strength of standard Mil-Spec Cordura nylon, allowing TYR Tactical™ to reduce weight while at the same time improving the performance of the fabric. Our PV® nylon offers an important structural benefit for load carriage by reducing system weight and improving durability.
