The aim of the Czech Legion was the independence of Czechoslovakia.
The Czech Legion fought mainly in France and in Italy ; many Czechoslovakian soldiers fought in Russia as well.
This helmet was found in the North of Italy.
It is a true battle-field pick-up with still traces of the mud from the Great War. In 30 years I have seen only two more examplares that were unquestionably original at first glance such as this one. When you observe it in hand, it is like it has been just found in an abandoned trench.
