Usually called in English The Message to Franklin plate. Measures just over 8.5 inches in diameter.Features three gentlemen in the foreground - Lafayette, Franklin and an unidentified third person. Buildings, trees, people and a horse are shown in the background. Framing the scene are the words:Remet des Messages du Congres a Benjamin Franklin Ministre Americain, En Fevrier 1779, A L'Hotel Valentinois, A Passy. (Generally translated as: Lafayette remits messages from Congress to Benjamin Franklin, American Minister, in February 1779 at the Hotel Valentinois, in Passy.)Surrounding border features leafy scrolls, fleur de lis, drums, rifles and bugles. Main colors are blue, taupe, maroon and rust.Marked on the back D'Arceau Limoges, Porcelaine De Limoges France, Premiere Edition Fait a la Main. Copyright 1974.
