Danbury Mint Bob Guge Bird Figurine "autumn Symphony" National Geographic 2001:
I've been told that it is time to sell Grandma's Danbury Mint bird collection. I built shelves around the window that had the built in bird feeder for them and it always looked nice, even on days when the feeder wasn't busy, but the birds seemed to like them too- she always seemed to have a crowd. None of these have any paperwork or original boxes. These have been out in a busy household and so there is some variation in condition. I've looked at them very carefully and tried to note any damage, but if something doesn't look right to you ask me to check it out or send you a closeup- I don't want to be mailing these fragile items back and forth. I hope that these give whoever gets them as much pleasure as she got from them. This one is a National Geographic 4 bird group by the Danbury Mint titled "Autumn Symphony" and copyrighted 2001. The birds are a wren, a nuthatch, a bluebird and a cedar waxwing. The first 3 seem to be about full size, the cedar waxwing is a little small, about the same size as the bluebird at about 5 inches long. The whole thing is about 17 inches tall, and the base is 4 1/2 by 5 1/2. There is no wooden base. I do not see any damage on this one- all of the beaks, wingtips and tails are present, and there are no repairs. I am always happy to answer any questions or to supply additional photos. Please check my other listings, I will be listing 10 or so similar items in the next few days
