Extremely scarce 1749 Verona Printing of the Divine Comedy by Dante or in this case the work is in Dantes native tongue of Italian "La Divina Commedia". Lovely edition with gorgeous head and especially tail pieces. Dante's famous work first printed in 1472 that has become legend for painting a strangely accurate depiction of what Heaven Hell and Purgatory might look like.
Works are in good condition with heavy scuffing to front covers and areas of the spine as can be seen from the pictures. Some dampstaining to one of the volumes covering top 1/4 of the page and covers about 100 leaves (in the photos). Paradiso and Purgatorio lack the title pages but are obviously from the same printing year.
