Offered with andstarting atour usual low price is this unusual hand-painted bowl with hand written calligraphy (sorry, unable to give a translation). It is painted with a landscape scene with SHEEP, PRUNUS, ROCKS and FLOWERS.

It is marked on the base with a mark for the DAOGUANG period which was c1821-1850, but Iam not sure if this is mark and period as it is a shape and subject which I have not had before, so I have provided lots of photographs to help collectors.

SIZE - Pictures are MAGNIFIED to show detail, so please judge sizeby measurements as this may look larger than it actually isIt measures approximately 2 1/2 inches in height x 5 1/2 inches in diameter.

CONDITION IS NOT PERFECT with 3 very faint hairlines (largest one is only about 1 inch), 3 small rim chips and a small indented area on the rim which may have been ground down (SEE LAST 5 PICTURES - the cracks are really veryhard to see, so I have pointed them out with a pen). From manufacture are some little dark dots in the glazeinside the bowl and on the rim (under magnification they look like burst air bubbles) - see picture on interior.
