David Andersen Enamel On Copper Norway Mid Century Scandinavian Eames:
Beautiful enamel on copper dish, 6" diameter and .75" tall, circa 1960s.
Abstract design in dark red, burnt orange, and gold on very heavy-gauge
copper. The colors change dramatically depending on lighting (see photos). The metal surface below the enamel is a hand-tooled texture that sparkles as it
catches light from all angles. The abstract drawing elements are raised above
the background surface. I can't say what the line-work represents. Perhaps based on Nordic runes?
The plate is in excellent condition. I see no flaws or chips to the enameling. The back has light scratching from use. Please see photos. It is a very heavy-gauge copper with thick enameling.
Please ask all questions before offerding. Ships to continental U.S. only. Buyer can request package insurance for additional cost (contact seller).
