by David Andersen, probably dating from the 1880’s, Norway.This has a gorgeous and very tactile design, formed of
nineteen circular links closely joined by small rings.Each link is patterned with pierced segments of delicate
scrolls and topped with a tiny pearl to create a dome shape.A seldom offered and very elegant piece of antique
Scandinavian jewellery, with a comfortable and flattering fit.Excellently crafted and detailed work - it would be a wonderful gift
(Christmas is drawing nearer ;) and a fine addition to a vintage collection!Size: 35.5 x 1.8 cm (13.98 x 0.71 inches)Please note that this a very snug fit, but could possibly be
lengthened by a jeweller in adding two small chains.Hallmarked: 830, DAVID ANDERSEN
(old mark used from 1876 until 1888), CHRISTIANIAWeight: 55 g (1.940 oz)Condition: this is in very good, ready to wear condition,
with only the slightest signs of use, commensurate with age.Very, very tiny nicks and faint surface scratches,
light (barely discernible) gold loss, but no damage, dents or dings.The central dangle seems to be missing (please see photos 10 & 11 and a
very similar necklace shown under the item number 351564139643),
but this is unnoticeable, when the collier is worn.It hasn’t been polished in any way, in order to retain its lovely patina.
