DELFT MINIATURE PAIR OF PEACOCK PLATES - 18TH CENTURY :
$300.00

RARE Pair of miniature hand-painted Delft plates in the \'Peacock\' pattern. This pair of Dutch Delft blue and white peacockplates are 5 1/4\" in diameter, marked with the porcelain claw and L.

It is a classic, blue and white hand painted and decorated with a \'peacock\' floral basket design and traditional yellow/brown painted edge.

Condition: very good, normal wear commensurate with age and use, light fritting, and chipsto the yellow rim. (see pictures)

Very Rare to find a pair in such good condition. There is a small hole in each plate for hanging. This was done in the 18th century as plates were fired at the factory -De Drie Klokken (can\'t be 100% sure of the factory). The mark on the back is the factory mark, this is what was told to me. If you are familiar with this mark, please let me know.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!
