Please scroll down below description for more pictures.This delicieux large panel of antique French printed cotton was once a curtain panel and still has its top border rings and its original fringe trim. It dates from the early 1900s.
It would be perfect to trim a window again but there is also a large amount of divine fabric here for any period projects.
It is a good weight printed cotton and is not flimsy or see through at all.
The background is old creamy white and the design is now faded pinks, blues, greens and saffron.
The design carries large country roses, rose buds, cottage flowers, forget me nots with foliage and faded boughs.
The silk fringe is soft pink and is all intact and runs along the bottom edge.
Measurements:
Length 6 feet 3\"
Width 45\" One looms width with both selvedge edges present.
There are no holes or repairs. I can see a couple of old tea colour very pale marks that do not detract and you have to look hard to find.
