This charming antique gilt bronze and brass French ciel de lit or bed corona dates to first half of the last century and has a lovely warm gilt bronze patina and is in good condition. The decorative repousse brass canopy ring which holds the drapes is attached with three curving scrolling bronze arms with pretty petite flower decoration. There is a chain for additional ceiling height if required. It measures 20ins in height, the additional chain being 13ins, and the curtain drapery ring is just under 8ins in diameter.
