Donkey Ferrier Blacksmith Fixes Boys Toy Hoop, Large Antique Woodcut Print 1880s:
This is an exquisite original antique print from the early 1880s, making it about 125 years old! It is large for the era.
The picture depicts two boys bringing their broken wooden hoop game to the local blacksmith farrier. He is working on a donkey.Beneath the picture is the title "THE BROKEN HOOP: Yes I guess I can fix that all right, my little man."
The page size is 10.5x13.75 inches (image area about 9x12 inches). It was originally bound into an 1880s art book. The exceptionally large size and heavy-weight paper makes it quite rare for the era, and particularly suitable for framing. THere is another picture on the back, but it does not show through the thick paper.
It is printed on heavy weight paper with a cream tone. It is in excellent condition.
Forgive the poor quality of the scan-- the original looks much nicer.
This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE antique item.
