DR461, 1960”s Emilio Pucci Early Label Rare Beaded Jacket Cupid Riding Arrow: This unusual jacket with the early Pucci label was made in Italy for Neiman Marcus. The pink silk jacket was con-structed with a cotton lining and then hand beaded. There are four labels inside the jacket and Emilio is printed within the design at least four times that I found on the outside of the jacket. First label reads: "Emilio - Capri - Made in Italy, 100 % silk", the second label reads: Made in Italy Exclusively for Neiman Marcus." The third label reads: To be Dry Cleaned. The Last label reads “16”. The theme of the jacket is "Falling in Love." There are cupids and bows riding arrows of all different colors across the pink silk fabric. The bead work is entirely hand sewn. The bust of the jacket is 39, and the waist is 38. The condition is far from perfect. It must have been a favorite thing to wear. There is staining on the inside collar, and spots here and there on the outside of the jacket. There are underarm stains and discoloration to the pink silk. It has faded over time. There is some wear to the collar and cuffs. There are some beads missing. A beaded button is off and is included in a small bag pinned on the inside of the jacket. One beaded button top is loose and there are beads missing off yet another button. With all of the problems this is still a great looking jacket. It would be fabulous for inspiration, or display and it has its own importance in fashion history. The offerding will start at $0.99. Will quote reserve upon request.
