Fantastic array of iridescent colors happened on this piece Background color changes from magenta to teal in rotation. Gold highlights. Two reactive murrinis shown on the top contain silver, copper, and minute quantities of other metal salts. The photos explain better than words. Eerie graphics maybe alienblooms.

Dan Sweaney began study of hot glass at Cal State San Bernardino in 1974, attended Pilchuck in 1984. He worked one year for Art Glass Team Oy in Humppila, Finland with Risto Sipila and was fortunate enough to be directed by the late Kaj Franck and Unto Suominen. He has maintained a small studio for 35 years always experimenting with the iridizing process
