Danbury Mint All Star Figurines, New York Yankees Roger Maris

This figurine of New York Yankees Roger Maris is from the Danbury Mint All Star collection. It is approximately 8" tall. This statue is only leaning due to the base, see explanation below.

The statue is in good condition with the exception of some blue lines (from pin striping) on the back rightthigh (see photos).

The bad news is the base is messed up. I believe the original holes were not drilled deep enough for the foot pegs to be flush on the base. When you hold the statue upright you can see there is a gap between base and shoes (see photos). My (legally blind) father tried remedying this himself, enlarging the holes rather than deepening them, and just made things worse. If you are handy, you could probablymakethe pegs fit- drill and fill, or trim the pegs, putty holes, etc.The protective covering is still on the brass plate.

This one is sold "as is", no return if the base has been further altered by buyer. Please check the photos carefully before deciding to offer.

*The good news is it comes with its Certificate of Authenticity with my father's name as registered owner. The serial number is A2048.
