This Dante Gabriel Rossetti letter is from my mother\'s \"Pre-Raphaelite collection.
This 3 page letter was written 27 July 1875 to William Deverell. It reads in part \"I will say that it seems to me that a hundred pounds might be asked for the two (picture) together in the present state of things. But Ii believe that if any one bought and kept them - their intrinsic qualities as well as their connection with an interesting period in English art world one day raise their value with certainty.\"
This letter is mounted on a stiff paper board with 24 written on the bottom and 25 on the back as well as : \"A more suitable name for the picture here called \"Irish Begger would be \"Hanresters on the road.\"
